The Deliveryman App requires background location access to ensure efficient and accurate delivery operations.

Background location data is used to:

  • Track active orders in real time

  • Assign delivery partners to nearby restaurants or stores

  • Optimize pickup and delivery routes

  • Provide customers with accurate order tracking and delivery status

How Background Location Is Used

  • Location is accessed only when the deliveryman is online or on an active delivery

  • Location tracking automatically stops when the delivery task is completed or the deliveryman goes offline

  • Location data is not used for advertising, marketing, or personal profiling

User Control

  • Delivery partners can enable or disable location permissions at any time from device settings

  • Disabling background location may affect order assignment and delivery tracking features

This usage complies with Google Play Background Location Access Policy and is strictly limited to delivery-related functionality.

5. Foreground Service Permission (Store App & Deliveryman App)

Foreground service permission is used to ensure timely and reliable order communication.

Why Foreground Service Is Required

Foreground services are used to:

  • Deliver instant new order alerts

  • Ensure store owners and delivery partners receive notifications even during active use

  • Maintain real-time order status updates while the app is open or running in the foreground

How Foreground Service Works

  • Foreground service runs only during active app usage

  • A visible notification is shown to the user, as required by Android system guidelines

  • No background data collection occurs beyond order-related notifications

Data Usage

  • No personal data is shared or stored through foreground services

  • Used strictly for operational alerts and order management

This complies with Google Play Foreground Service Permission Policy and Apple App Store notification guidelines.

6. Notifications

We may send:

  • Order confirmations

  • Delivery status updates

  • New order alerts (Store & Deliveryman Apps)

  • Important service-related messages

Users can manage notification preferences in device or app settings.

  • Store Partners: To fulfill customer orders
